We had an Easter egg hunt at Grandma and Pawpaw's house on the Saturday before Easter. Kyle's family was in town, so there are pictures of Nolan and Emory's two cousins that aren't related to Wyatt, as well as his cousins Nolan, Emory, Abigail, and Allison. Last year Wyatt sat in the grass and picked up one egg to play with. This year he walked all over the yard finding eggs and putting them in the Easter bucket. Grandma and Pawpaw gave everyone these sand pails for Easter baskets, which was great. He will be able to use this bucket all summer long in his sandbox and at the lake. He also loves his new tractor book that came in the Easter bucket - and Mama is loving his chocolate bunnies Grandma made. Sorry Wyatt - maybe next year I'll let you have some candy. We'll see :)

I love how he is holding up his egg - so proud of it. |

It's more fun to just dump out the whole bucket. |

Wyatt dumped out his eggs and then said, "hat" as he put this on his head. He put it on and off many times. |

A grin each time he took off his "hat." |
We enjoyed having hot dogs and hamburgers for our pre-Easter celebration
with Justin's family. It was the perfect weather, unlike the actual
day of Easter. It started pouring right around the time church let out. Our church building only has one covered drop off/pick
up point. I must have stood holding Wyatt for 20 minutes waiting for
Justin to bring the car around, because the line of cars was so long. We waited so long Wyatt fell asleep in my arms (wow is he heavy), and
woke up refreshed by the time Justin arrived. Because of the rain I didn't manage to get any pictures of
the three of us in our Sunday best clothes. Wyatt wore his suit and
looked just adorable. I do have a few photos of Wyatt checking out what
the Easter bunny left for him.
He enjoyed taking out the items and showing them to Daddy. He got some plastic animal figurines, some books, play-doh (we haven't tried that out yet) some new crayons, a car, and a new children's bible. When we left to go to services we found the Easter bunny had also visited our porch and left him a basket of goodies and some plastic golf clubs. Thank you mysterious Easter bunny! Last year he got a basket from the same mysterious bunny (our neighbors I assume). He loves hitting things with the golf clubs - thankfully he is usually aiming at the plastic golf balls or some of his plastic ball pit balls. He also likes to "feed" the animal figurines. The lion and the elephant have open mouths, so he thinks they need "bites" just like he does. So cute!
I hope everyone else had as fun of an Easter weekend as we did. It was busy and packed, but a lot of fun.
