Summer fun

We have been so busy having fun that I never get to write. The cold weather reminded me of all the summer pictures I haven't gotten around to posting.
We went to an event that the Colleyville library hosted and Wyatt enjoyed doing water slides and the zip line.  Everything was free, which was so nice!  Wyatt amazed everyone with his bravery and daring at only 2 years old.  I wouldn't have done the water slide or the zip line - so he must get his bravery from Justin.

This water slide was so tall it was almost vertical - and a bunch of much older kids climbed up only to be too scared to slide down.  Wyatt went over and over again!
There was a hula hooping contest for the moms and dads.  Mama won for the women (whoo-hoo!) and Daddy and Mr. Bernd competed for the men's competition.  The men had to compete over and over again because no one could do it!
My two babies sleeping at the same time on our bed.  Not the usual nap location - I don't remember exactly how this came about - but it was too cute not to take a photo.
Making cake balls and licking up the leftover toppings!  Yummy and messy faces.

Look at me Mom - I pulled my headband down and got the bow off!

Swim day at the Krafthoeffer's house.  Helen fell asleep just sitting in my arms after her "swim" while Wyatt continued having a blast in the water.  His puddle jumper life jacket is great because he can "swim" all by himself!

We went to visit Great Grandmother and Great Granddaddy around Great Grandaddy's birthday (July 5).  Wyatt and Helen enjoyed spending time with their great-grandparents.

Bike rides with Daddy!  Justin did a sprint triathlon this fall, so Wyatt got to spend some time helping him train.  Usually in the bike trailer, but sometimes on his bike seat.

Our happy Helen Joy is growing up!  Such a beautiful smile.

She always has eyes for her big brother!

Our "beach" down at the lake.  The one plus to the lake being so low is that we have a sandy beach area.  (The neighbors are so kind to let us play on their lake front property while we are there).

At the park with friends
We had a parade to celebrate Independence day at Legacy one evening.  Wyatt "rode" his tricycle with a lot of help steering.  I was going to put Helen in the parade in her stroller but in the end we decided to just watch.  She was dressed for the occasion.

the square in downtown Sulphur Springs

We sure did enjoy our trip to Sulphur Springs this summer.  The square looks great and it is always fun to spend time with my grandparents.  They have the strangest bathrooms down at the square.  (I should have gotten a picture).  They are glass, so from the outside they look like big mirrored boxes, but from inside the bathroom you can see all the people outside.  Very weird!

Fun at the zoo.  We sure enjoyed our year long membership to the zoo.
